About this Song
As a catalogue snapshot that centers the position of the sound within its originating artist’s full body of work, Only You carves out a clear space as a core R&B offering from the Philippines, rooted in the rich creative ecosystem that shapes Philippine R&B and its place within broader contemporary sound spaces rooted in the country’s artistic landscape. The snapshot’s direction avoids unsubstantiated chronology, instead anchoring the sound to the consistent throughline of R&B practice that defines the artist’s entire catalogue, positioning Only You as one of the distinct entries that align with the core creative identity that runs through all of the artist’s released work.
