About this Song
Across global creative scenes, R&B has evolved far beyond its foundational origins to become a chameleonic genre that adapts to the creative priorities, audience desires, and shared cultural languages of local communities everywhere it takes root, and the iteration that has grown and thrived in the Philippines is no exception. This sound, titled Just Wanna Be With You, emerges from that rich local lineage of Filipino R&B, a strand of the genre that has developed alongside decades of cross-cultural exchange between the Philippines and global music hubs, while retaining a distinct sense of place that anchors every choice made in its creation.
