About this Song
Musical creation from the Philippines has long been shaped by the depth and diversity of the archipelago’s artistic communities, with new voices and established creative entities alike coming together to craft work that resonates with audiences across the country and across the global Filipino diaspora, a sprawling network of people bound by shared ties to their homeland, even as they build lives across every continent on Earth. This sound, Tingin, bears the creative mark of two credited artists: Cup of Joe and 珍妮·特诺索, whose collaborative work joins the long lineage of meaningful creative output to emerge from the Philippines, a country that has always nurtured experimentation, connection, and intentional craft across all forms of artistic practice.
