Cup of Joe, a Filipino pop rock band formed in Baguio City in November 2018, released "Mananatili" in 2022 as one of two singles that year, alongside "Estranghero." The band, comprising lead vocalists Edgar Gian Bernardino and Raphaell "Rapha" Ridao, keyboardist Vixen "Xen" Gareza, lead guitarist Antonio Gabriel "Gab" Fernandez, and rhythm guitarist Clint Joules "CJ" Fernandez, defines its musical style as "experimental," incorporating acoustic pop, retro, alternative pop, retro-wave, and neo-folk. Their name, "Cup of Joe," was chosen spontaneously to reflect a relaxed musical style and their connection to Baguio, an environment that often influences their music, as seen in songs like "Nag-iisang Muli," inspired by the city's scenic surroundings and cool breeze. After signing with Viva Records in 2019, Cup of Joe's debut extended play (EP), *Patutunguhan* (2023), featured "Tingin" with Janine Teñoso, which entered the Billboard Philippines Songs chart.
