The collective of Gian Bernardino, Raphaell Ridao, Gabriel Fernandez, CJ Fernandez, and Xen Gareza came together to form Cup of Joe, a young pop and alternative band rooted in the northern Philippines, building a cohesive, widely celebrated discography that has cemented their status as one of the most dynamic rising acts in the country’s contemporary pop sphere. The band’s first formal project, the much-anticipated debut EP titled “Patutunguhan,” marked their first major full-length release, a collection of new tracks that showcased the range of their creative chemistry, both as a standalone unit and when collaborating with other distinct voices in the local music scene.
