About this Song
Hailing from the northern Philippines, the five-member pop and alternative group Cup of Joe has built its discography on a refusal to be boxed into a single pop sound, moving fluidly across electronic, folk, indie, Latin, orchestral, R&B, reggae, rock, and world music-inflected strains of pop to create work that feels both rooted in their home country’s vibrant music scene and capable of resonating with audiences far beyond their regional base. The band’s lineup unites the distinct creative strengths of vocalists Gian Bernardino and Raphaell Ridao, lead guitarist Gabriel Fernandez, rhythm guitarist CJ Fernandez, and keyboardist Xen Gareza, whose combined talents have turned every new release into an event for their fast-growing fanbase, as they stack critical and commercial wins that far outpace what many new acts manage in their first years on the scene.
