About this Song
A young pop and alternative band based in the northern Philippines brings together the distinct creative voices of Gian Bernardino, Raphaell Ridao, Gabriel Fernandez, CJ Fernandez, and Xen Gareza to build a cohesive, widely celebrated discography under the name Cup of Joe. Each new entry in their growing body of work builds on the last, expanding their creative range while nurturing the loyal fanbase that has turned their tracks into cross-platform cultural staples. Their first major project, the much-anticipated debut EP Patutunguhan, introduced a slate of original new tracks that signaled the band’s arrival as a formidable force in the local music scene, including the collaborative track “Tingin” recorded with artist Janine. “Tingin” earned its first major mainstream milestone when it debuted at the 40th spot on Spotify’s Viral 50 Philippines chart, a breakthrough that preceded the track’s current run of more than 124 million streams on the platform alone.
