About this Song
Hailing from the northern regions of the Philippines, the six-piece collective behind Cup of Joe has built a cohesive, widely celebrated discography that anchors the group’s growing hold on the country’s modern pop landscape, with their pop track Hayaan joining a string of releases that have cemented their status as one of the most exciting young acts working in Filipino music today. The lineup that powers every release brings together distinct, complementary talents: Gian Bernardino and Raphaell Ridao handle vocal duties, Gabriel Fernandez serves as lead guitar, CJ Fernandez rounds out the band’s string section on rhythm guitar, and Xen Gareza adds layered texture to every track on keys, a combination that has allowed the group to pivot seamlessly between pop polish and alternative edge across their entire body of work.
