About this Song
Hailing from the northern regions of the Philippines, the six-piece pop and alternative act Cup of Joe builds its discography around the combined creative force of its members: vocalists Gian Bernardino and Raphaell Ridao, lead guitarist Gabriel Fernandez, rhythm guitarist CJ Fernandez, and keyboardist Xen Gareza. Every layer of their work reflects the collaborative chemistry they have honed since they first began creating music together, leading to a string of breakthrough moments that have cemented their status as one of the most compelling young acts emerging from the country’s vibrant pop scene. Their first major project arrived in the form of their much-anticipated debut EP, Patutunguhan, a collection that introduced audiences to the full range of their sound, featuring entirely new original tracks that showcased each member’s individual strengths and the band’s knack for blending accessible pop hooks with the textured depth of alternative music.
