About this Song
Rooted in Cebu’s thriving local music scene, the group that would go on to become one of the Philippines’ most recognizable pop rock acts first came together in 1998, when a core set of musicians aligned around a shared love of accessible, hook-driven sound that resonated with small venue crowds across their home province. For years, the band that would become Cueshé built a grassroots following through consistent local performances, refining their approach to the pop genre that would define their entire career, before making the permanent move to Manila, the country’s central hub for mainstream entertainment and music distribution, to expand their reach far beyond the Cebu island circuit.
