About this Song
Pop from the Philippines, "Stick Your Tongue Out - Karma Fields Original Edit" by Icona Pop, features the Swedish synth-pop duo known for their blend of electro house, indie pop, and dance-pop. Formed in 2009 by Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, both from Stockholm, Icona Pop signed with TEN Music Group in the same year and also holds a label deal with Ultra Music. The duo's music has been characterized by the Swedish press as something "you can both laugh and cry to at the same time," a sentiment echoed by English-language publications such as NME, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and Pitchfork Media, which have praised their work. The Guardian, for instance, described their debut single "Manners" as "effortlessly cool." Their 2012 release, "I Love It," became a global success, achieving 5x Platinum status, selling over 10 million copies, and surpassing 1 billion global streams. Icona Pop's debut album, *Icona Pop*, was released in Sweden in 2012, followed by the international release *This Is... Icona Pop* in 2013.
