About this Song
The pairing of Icona Pop and SOFI TUKKER as credited creative forces for the sound titled Spa situates the work within a long tradition of collaborative pop music that turns shared creative vision into a cohesive body of work, rooted in the geographic context of the Philippines, a region that has shaped the global evolution of pop as a dominant, widely resonant genre that connects audiences across cultural and geographic divides. All frameworks for the sound are tied to Ultra Records, LLC, the entity that stewards this pop work alongside a roster of other releases that bring together creative voices from across the world to reach global audiences. The pop genre, which spans countless regional iterations and cross-cultural crossovers, provides the perfect foundation for the combined work of Icona Pop and SOFI TUKKER, whose credits on Spa mark a convergence of two separate creative paths that align to bring this distinct sound to life.
