About this Song
The pop recording "Need You" by Icona Pop, from the Philippines, is a contribution to the discography of a Swedish synth-pop duo formed in 2009 by Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, both hailing from Stockholm. Their musical approach is characterized by a blend of electro house, indie pop, and dance-pop influences. Early in their career, the duo signed with TEN Music Group in 2009 and also secured a label deal with Ultra Music. The Swedish press has often described their music as something that evokes both laughter and tears simultaneously, a sentiment that speaks to its emotional range. English-language publications, including *NME*, *The Guardian*, *Rolling Stone*, and *Pitchfork Media*, have consistently praised Icona Pop's work. *The Guardian*, for instance, lauded their debut single "Manners" as "effortlessly cool.
