The Swedish synth-pop duo Icona Pop, formed in 2009 by Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, present their pop recording "Faster." Hailing from Stockholm, the duo's musical style blends electro house, indie pop, dance-pop, and electropop, a sound the Swedish press has characterized as simultaneously evoking laughter and tears. Icona Pop signed with TEN Music Group in 2009, also securing a label deal with Ultra Music. Their international breakthrough arrived with the 2012 hit single "I Love It," featuring Charli XCX, which became a global sensation and earned nominations for the 2013 Teen Choice Award for Choice Single and the 2014 Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Song, ultimately winning Song of the Year at the 2014 SESAC Pop Awards. Icona Pop's debut album, *Icona Pop*, was released in Sweden in 2012, followed by their first internationally released album, *This Is... Icona Pop*, in September 2013.
