About this Song
Pop created in the Philippines carries a layered, interconnected lineage that ties local creative sensibilities to the global breadth of the form, a throughline that anchors every iteration of the genre emerging from the archipelago today. Far from a monolithic category, pop from the Philippines draws on decades of creative exchange, both within the country’s own diverse artistic communities and with creators across the world who reimagine what pop can be, year after year. The sound Congratulations (feat. Bilal) sits within this long, rich legacy, a work that aligns with the core of pop’s ever-evolving identity while rooting itself firmly in the geographic context that shaped its creation.
