Maligayang Pasko
About this Song
Rock and roll has long served as more than just a musical genre in the Philippines, acting as a flexible, unifying creative framework that creators across the archipelago have reshaped and redefined to center their own communal values, cultural traditions, and lived experiences for decades. What began as an imported sound quickly took root in local creative scenes, growing into a vibrant ecosystem of work that spans every island, every subculture, and every kind of gathering that defines Filipino life, from large public festivals to intimate family reunions, from grassroots community gatherings to national celebrations that bring together millions of people across the country’s diverse regions.
