From Kenya, Chris Brown’s "Gimme That Remix (feat. Lil Wayne)" presents a collaboration by the American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Born Christopher Maurice Brown in Tappahannock, Virginia, on May 5, 1989, Brown signed with Jive Records in 2004 at the age of 15. His self-titled debut album, released in 2005, featured the chart-topping single "Run It!", which made him the first male artist since 1995 to top the Billboard Hot 100. Produced by Scott Storch, who co-wrote the song with Sean Garrett and Juelz Santana, "Run It!" was released as a single on June 30, 2005. The album *Chris Brown* sold 154,000 copies in its first week, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200, and was certified double Platinum by the end of 2006. Early in his career, Brown's vocal and dancing abilities drew comparisons to artists like Usher and Michael Jackson. His second album, *Exclusive* (2007), was commercially successful and included the Billboard Hot 100 number-one single "Kiss Kiss".
