Say You'll Never Go 2015
About this Song
R&B has long occupied a central, beloved space within the Philippine music landscape, growing far beyond its origins as a global imported genre to become a vessel for some of the most vulnerable, resonant storytelling the archipelago’s creative community has ever produced. What began as a cross-cultural exchange of musical ideas has evolved into a distinct local iteration of the form, absorbing the core tenets of classic soul, quiet storm, and modern R&B while infusing every structural and tonal choice with the thematic priorities that define Filipino creative expression at large: a deep commitment to earnestness, a focus on the bonds that tie people to one another, and a willingness to lean into softness rather than shrink from it.
