About this Song
Creators working in the Philippine pop space build on decades of shared creative history, a lineage that turns the broad, flexible framework of pop into a vessel for perspectives rooted in the archipelago’s diverse communities, while also crafting work that travels seamlessly to audiences across the global Filipino diaspora and beyond. Every pop work emerging from the Philippines carries the weight of that legacy, even as it carves out its own place within the ongoing, ever-shifting story of the genre’s evolution across the region and the world. Turn It Well, the pop work created by this same community of Filipino creators, fits perfectly within that rich lineage, holding space to contribute to the ongoing expansion of what Philippine pop can be, and what it can communicate to listeners who encounter it.
