About this Song
Across the string of island communities that make up the Philippines, the moon holds a quiet, unshakable place in the shared imagination of everyone who lives, works, and creates within its borders, a celestial constant that ties together coastal fishing villages that rely on its light to guide night-time voyages, mountain highland settlements that weave its cycles into traditional agricultural practices, and dense urban centers where its glow cuts through the hum of streetlights and screen glow to offer a small, shared point of connection for millions of people who might otherwise feel unmoored in the rush of daily life.
