About this Song
Singer-songwriter JD Mustacho first gathered Calein around a shared goal of turning intimate, personal truths into music that could unite listeners, building the Filipino trio alongside bassist Oliver Salaysay and drummer Benjo Criste to craft a sound that balances emotional weight with irresistible energy. From their earliest local sets, the band leaned into emotionally charged storytelling and melodies that capture the spirit of love and hope, traits that quickly set them apart in the crowded local music scene and paved the way for their rise as one of the most promising acts in today’s OPM landscape.
