About this Song
Across the Philippines, R&B has long served as a vessel for creative expression that bridges local sonic sensibilities and the global contours of the genre, creating a body of work that feels both rooted in community and connected to wider conversations about what R&B can be in the modern era. This lineage of Filipino R&B, which has grown from small local creative circles to reach audiences far beyond the archipelago’s borders, provides the foundation for every sound that emerges from the country’s scene, each new addition building on the layers of experimentation and emotional clarity that define the work coming out of the region.
