About this Song
Rock & Roll as a global creative form has long found vibrant, deeply rooted expression in the Philippines, where the genre’s core draw as a vessel for unfiltered, purpose-driven creation aligns with decades of local creative practice that ties international sonic roots to the specific lived context of the archipelago. The sound Hindi Ako Susuko emerges from that long, intertwined history, holding space within a lineage of Philippine rock & roll that reimagines the genre’s core identity to fit local cultural needs, turning an imported form into something that feels entirely native to the communities that nurture and celebrate it.
