About this Song
Rock & Roll, a genre that has crossed every continental border to adapt to the creative priorities of local music communities everywhere it takes root, anchors this collaborative sound from the Philippines, where Shi Shi and Sean Ko join forces to release TMT, a work tied to the broader roster of Rock Records Co., Ltd. To frame the weight of what a Rock & Roll release from the Philippines carries, it’s important to recognize that the genre has never been a monolith, bound to the geographic origins of its mid-20th century emergence; instead, it has evolved in every region it reaches, absorbing the unique cultural contexts of the artists who take up its framework to create new work that speaks to their own experiences and creative goals.
