About this Song
To encounter a work that ties the unruly, enduring energy of rock and roll to the specific, rich artistic landscape of the Philippines is to encounter a sound that carries layers of history and meaning, layers that deepen the simple, urgent longing wrapped into the title Show Me a Smile, a title that doesn’t just name a small, intimate request but frames it as something worth centering as a core human desire that transcends the borders and boundaries that might otherwise separate listeners from one another.
