About This Album
Rock&Roll, a genre that has evolved far beyond its mid-20th century origins to become a global creative language shared by creators and audiences across every inhabited continent, has found one of its most vibrant, enduring homes in the Philippines, where local creators have embraced the form’s core ethos of uncompromising creative autonomy to build a sprawling, decades-long body of work that enriches both the national creative ecosystem and the global lineage of the genre itself. For generations, rock and roll has served as an anchor for creative communities across the Philippine archipelago, providing a shared framework that creators can adapt to their own needs, experiences, and perspectives, while connecting them to a global network of artists and fans who share a commitment to the genre’s foundational spirit of urgency, authenticity, and connection.
