Ben&Ben, an indie folk-pop band from Manila, Philippines, formed in 2016 with twin brothers Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico, initially performing as The Benjamins. By 2017, the group had expanded into a nine-member ensemble, incorporating Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Patricia Lasaten on keyboards, Toni Muñoz and Andrew de Pano on percussion, and Keifer Cabugao on violin. The band's sound is characterized by its indie folk, folk-pop, folk rock, and pop rock elements, often noted for its anthemic qualities and emotional depth. Their lyrical content frequently explores themes of loss, heartbreak, relationships, and the journey toward self-love. Ben&Ben released their self-titled EP in 2016, and early singles such as "Leaves" and "Kathang Isip" significantly contributed to their growing prominence; "Kathang Isip" was nominated for a Myx Music Award and helped the band secure the Best New Artist or Group award at the Aliw Awards.
