The Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben, formed in Manila in 2016 by twin brothers Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico, presents "Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay." Initially known as The Benjamins, the group expanded in 2017 to a nine-member ensemble, adding Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Patricia Lasaten on keyboards, Toni Muñoz and Andrew de Pano on percussion, and Keifer Cabugao on violin. Ben&Ben's musical style incorporates indie folk, folk-pop, folk rock, and pop rock, often characterized by anthemic qualities and emotional engagement. Their lyrical themes frequently explore loss, heartbreak, relationships, and the journey toward self-love. The band released their self-titled EP in 2016, with early singles like "Leaves" and "Kathang Isip" contributing to their rise in prominence; "Kathang Isip" earned a Myx Music Award nomination and helped them secure Best New Artist or Group at the Aliw Awards.
