From the Philippines, Ben&Ben's "Paninindigan Kita" arrives as a pop recording from a band known for its indie folk, folk-pop, and folk rock stylings. Formed in Manila in 2016 by twin brothers Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico, initially under the name The Benjamins, the group expanded to a nine-member ensemble in 2017. This larger lineup includes Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Patricia Lasaten on keyboards, Toni Muñoz and Andrew de Pano on percussion, and Keifer Cabugao on violin. The band's musical approach frequently features anthemic qualities and deep emotional engagement, with lyrics that often delve into themes of loss, heartbreak, relationships, and the journey toward self-love. Ben&Ben's early career saw the release of their self-titled EP in 2016, followed by notable singles such as "Leaves" and "Kathang Isip," the latter earning a Myx Music Award nomination and contributing to their win for Best New Artist or Group at the Aliw Awards.
