About this Song
Formed in Manila in 2016 by twin brothers Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico, the Filipino indie and folk-pop band Ben&Ben initially performed as The Benjamins. The duo expanded into a nine-member ensemble in 2017, adopting the name Ben&Ben. The current lineup includes Paolo Benjamin Guico and Miguel Benjamin Guico on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass guitar, Patricia Lasaten on keyboards, Toni Muñoz and Andrew de Pano on percussion, and Keifer Cabugao on violin. Their musical style encompasses indie folk, folk-pop, folk rock, and pop rock, often exploring themes of loss, heartbreak, relationships, and the journey toward self-love. Ben&Ben's debut single, "Tinatangi," released in 2016, secured third place at the Philippine Popular Music Festival. The band followed this with a self-titled EP in the same year.
