About this Song
The Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben, formed in Manila in 2016 by twin brothers Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico, is known for its anthemic and emotionally engaging musical style, which incorporates elements of indie folk, folk-pop, folk rock, and pop rock. Their lyrics frequently delve into themes of loss, heartbreak, relationships, and the journey toward self-love. Initially known as The Benjamins, the group expanded in 2017 to include Poch Barretto on electric guitar, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Patricia Lasaten on keyboards, Toni Muñoz and Andrew de Pano on percussion, and Keifer Cabugao on violin. Among their early notable singles, "Kathang Isip" played a significant role in their rise to prominence, earning a nomination for a Myx Music Award and contributing to their win for Best New Artist or Group at the Aliw Awards. This track, alongside "Leaves," helped establish their presence in the music scene.
