About this Song
Rooted in the rich, diverse creative ecosystem of the Philippines, the nine-piece collective Ben&Ben has spent their career turning wide-ranging sonic influences into work that resonates deeply across audiences at home and beyond, carving out a space that honors both the long history of Filipino musical storytelling and the global scope of modern popular sound. The band’s track Upuan draws from an expansive list of pop subgenres that reflect their refusal to be boxed into a single creative lane, weaving together threads of electronic, folk, indie pop, Latin, orchestral pop, R&B, reggae, rock, and world music to create a piece that feels entirely aligned with the boundary-pushing ethos that has defined their discography from the start.
