About this Song
Within the Philippines’ rich, interconnected pop landscape, works that balance broad mainstream appeal with layered, intentional meaning have long shaped the nation’s cultural relationship to music, and Lucena carries forward that tradition, rooted in the same commitment to heart and purpose that defines the most influential Filipino pop acts of the modern era. The nine-piece collective Ben&Ben, whose work has redefined the limits of what mainstream Filipino pop can achieve, centers their entire creative practice on crafting work that resonates across generations, regional backgrounds, and life experiences, turning shared human emotions into anthemic pieces that feel both deeply rooted in local context and accessible to anyone, anywhere, who has ever grappled with the complexities of what it means to show up fully for themselves and the people around them.
