About this Song
Across the Philippines, pop music occupies a unique space in public and private life, weaving itself into family gatherings, casual commutes, community festivals, and quiet moments of individual reflection to become a shared language that ties diverse groups of people across the archipelago together. This deeply embedded role for popular music has allowed artists who prioritize intentional, meaningful storytelling to rise to the forefront of the cultural landscape, reshaping what audiences expect from the pop they consume and building a legacy of work that extends far beyond simple entertainment. Dati - Cover Version emerges from this exact rich, purpose-driven tradition of Filipino pop, carrying forward the core artistic ethos of the nine-piece collective behind it, a group that has redefined the country’s modern music scene in less than a decade of activity.
