About this Song
R&B as a creative form has long held a central place in the ecosystem of Philippine popular music, with each new sound added to that lineage deepening the genre’s capacity to hold nuanced, resonant experiences that feel both rooted in local context and connected to the broader global community of creators who have shaped R&B over decades. The sound You're Still The One emerges from that long, ongoing tradition of Philippine R&B, occupying a space that honors the core foundations of the genre while contributing a new, distinct entry to the catalog of work that comes from creators based in the country. Classifications of genre and origin do more than just sort creative work; they create pathways for audiences to engage with work that emerges from specific creative communities, grounding each new sound in a network of shared practice that stretches back through years of creative output from the Philippines’ vast community of creators.
