When I Was Your Man
About this Song
R&B holds a unique, enduring place in the Philippines’ vast, diverse music landscape, a genre that has been adopted, reimagined, and woven into the fabric of local creative output for decades, evolving alongside shifts in what creators and audiences alike seek from their most beloved forms of sound. This space of creative reimagination has allowed R&B to grow beyond any single, rigid definition of what the genre can be, accommodating a wide range of creative voices that draw from their own experiences within the archipelago to add new layers to R&B’s global identity, turning an internationally recognized form into something that feels entirely specific to the Philippines’ cultural context.
