So Sick
About this Song
So Sick sits at the intersection of two expansive, endlessly evolving creative worlds: the broad, deeply interconnected landscape of R&B as a global musical form, and the specific, rich creative ecosystem of Philippine music, where R&B has taken root and thrived for decades, reimagined and reshaped by the creators who build their careers within its bounds. As a work emerging from the Philippines’ dynamic musical community, this R&B sound carries with it the weight of a long lineage of creators from the archipelago who have turned to R&B as a space to explore shared emotional truths, while weaving in the subtle, distinct cultural markers that set their work apart from the genre’s more commercially dominant iterations from other regions.
