About this Song
Autumn (Reimagined) emerges from the Philippines’ sprawling, interconnected creative community of sound artists who work across every conceivable boundary of sonic practice, building work that resists narrow categorization and leans into the freedom of the Mix genre, a classification that holds space for every kind of experimental, cross-cultural, and formally inventive sound work to be shared and explored. Unlike rigid genre frameworks that demand a work fit into preexisting, often outdated boxes, the Mix classification centers the act of construction and reinvention itself, a creative core that is baked directly into the title of this sound, framing every choice that defines the work as an intentional departure from any static, unchanging idea of what a recording rooted in a familiar theme can be.
