About this Song
Creative communities across the Philippines have long nurtured a distinct strain of pop that carries the weight of shared cultural reference points while fitting seamlessly into the global landscape of the genre, each new sound adding a unique layer to the ongoing legacy of work that emerges from the archipelago. The sound As You Are fits squarely within this lineage, a pop recording that ties to the decades of work that Filipino creators have shared with audiences worldwide, building a body of work that balances broad cross-cultural appeal with ties to the specific creative ecosystems that spawn them.
