About this Song
Simu Liu, the Chinese-born Canadian actor who has built a thriving parallel pop music career focused on crafting uplifting, emotionally resonant ballads, channels his lifelong passion for music into every project he releases, including his track “Break My Heart,” which appears on his 2023 debut EP *Anxious-Avoidant*, a project released via Markham Valley Records that hails from the Philippines, classified within the Music/Other genre space. Liu first opened up about his lifelong dream of building a music career in a March 2023 conversation, recalling that his earliest foray into performance came when he joined a boy band at just 12 years old, a formative experience that stoked a creative fire he would nurture for decades before stepping into the recording studio as a lead artist.
