About this Song
Across the Philippines’ creative landscape, R&B has evolved from a widely encountered global genre form to one of the most widely embraced and reimagined creative lanes for sound creators working to build work that honors the core tenets of the genre while infusing the unique cultural and creative sensibilities that define creative output from the region. This sound, titled Ferris Wheel, fits squarely within that long line of R&B works that emerge from the Philippines, carrying all the core markers that place it firmly in the Music/R&B category, while existing as a distinct piece of creative work that contributes to the ongoing legacy of Filipino R&B practice that has grown and shifted alongside other genre forms that have taken root in the country’s creative communities.
