About this Song
Litrato anchors itself to the rich, evolving landscape of Filipino creative sound, rooted in the Philippines’ long history of blending local cultural sensibilities with global sonic frameworks that have shaped popular music across the archipelago for generations. As a work falling under the hip-pop umbrella, it engages with a cross-genre form that has found particularly fertile ground in the Philippines, where creators regularly draw from the rhythmic backbone of hip-hop and the melodic accessibility of pop to build work that resonates both within local communities and beyond the country’s borders.
