About this Song
6cyclemind steps into the long, rich lineage of rock and roll artists building their craft in the Philippines, contributing a new entry to that archipelago’s decades-spanning tradition of reimagining and expanding the core of the genre to resonate deeply with local audiences with their work Sandalan. Rock and roll took root in the Philippines almost as soon as it emerged as a defining global genre, with local creators picking up its core frameworks and reworking them to fit the unique cultural rhythms of the nation long before many of its Southeast Asian neighbors would embrace the form, turning what could have been a passing imported trend into a permanent pillar of the country’s creative landscape.
