About this Song
Prinsesa emerges as a distinct rock and roll sound from Filipino group 6cyclemind, a work that sits within a long, vibrant lineage of Philippine rock and roll that has evolved alongside global iterations of the genre while retaining deep ties to the cultural landscape that spawned it. To engage with any rock and roll work coming out of the Philippines is to engage with a creative community that has spent decades refining the genre’s core melodic and structural sensibilities to reflect the unique experiences of its creators and audiences, turning a form that originated far beyond the archipelago’s borders into a vessel for stories, connections, and expressions that feel entirely rooted in local life.
