About This Album
The Philippine Music/Song Cover titled *幕が上がる* is the 12th digital-only single from back number, a Japanese rock power trio formed in 2004 in Gunma Prefecture. Released on July 31, 2025, *幕が上がる*, also known as "The Unveiling," serves as the theme song for the movie *Gekijoban TOKYO MER ~Hashiru Kinkyu Kyumeishitsu~ Nankai Mission* (TOKYO MER the Movie ~Running Emergency Room~ South Sea Mission). The band's current lineup features Iyori Shimizu on lead vocals and guitar, Kazuya Kojima on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Hisashi Kurihara on drums and percussion. Shimizu, who writes and composes all of back number's songs, formed the band after a personal experience that inspired the name "back number," reflecting a feeling of being "outdated." back number signed with independent record label Idolsmith Recordings in 2009, releasing their debut EP, *Nogashita Sakana* (Fish Set Free), that same year, followed by their first studio album, *Ato no Matsuri* (Too Late), in 2010.
