“My music describes my journey,” says Kwesi Arthur. Hailing from Tema a city on the West African Coast, his work chronicles his environment. “I feel like my music is a journal sometimes,” he explains. “Everything I feel, everything I go through, everything I see, I express it through the music.” It’s his lyrical talent and soaring ambition that makes him particularly great, because it’s not just music he’s making, it’s hope.
