About this Song
Sempat Memiliki is a work from Yovie & Nuno, the Indonesian pop band whose decades-long career has shaped the country’s mainstream musical landscape since their official debut in 2001. The group was founded by Yovie Widianto, a multi-hyphenate creator who works as a pianist, songwriter, and producer, and who brought years of industry experience and artistic credibility to the new project, having previously served as the bandleader of Kahitna, one of the most successful Indonesian bands of the 1990s. In its earliest iteration, the group was known to audiences as Yovie & The Nuno, a moniker that carried them through their first years of activity, during which their initial sound blended accessible, widely appealing pop structures with sophisticated jazz influences, crafting a sonic identity that set them apart from many of their peers emerging on the scene at the same time.
