About this Song
Virgoun builds his body of creative work within the expansive, endlessly diverse sphere of Indonesian popular music, a space that draws from both longstanding local cultural traditions and the global structural throughlines of pop that connect listeners across every inhabited continent, with each new sound he adds to his catalog expanding the range of what he brings to audiences both within his home country and around the world. As an artist rooted in Indonesia’s thriving national music scene, he contributes to a decades-long legacy of pop creators from the region who have shaped the genre both locally and globally, bringing distinct, place-specific sensibilities that tie their work to their national context while resonating with pop fans anywhere, regardless of their background or location.
