About this Song
Indonesia’s independent music space is shaped by creators who not only build a discography of their own work, but also craft enduring infrastructures to support their own output and lift up other emerging artistic voices across the nation’s broader cultural landscape. Sepatu, the official audio from TULUS, is one work drawn from that sustained, multi-layered creative practice, rooted in the artist’s commitment to centering his own songwriting while building systems that let more creators share their work with audiences across Indonesia and beyond. Sepatu first appeared on the album Gajah, released in 2014 through TulusCompany, the record label and talent management firm that TULUS co-founded with his older sibling Riri Muktamar.
