The Indonesian artist Tulus, who began his musical journey in 2011, writes all his own songs. He also co-founded TulusCompany, a record label and talent management company, with his older brother Riri Muktamar. Tulus’s music has earned him over 60 awards in music and cinematography. For the song "TULUS - Monokrom (Official Music Video)," Tulus wrote the lyrics, while the musical notation was a collaboration between Tulus and Ari Renaldi. Renaldi also produced the track, arranged the music, and played drums, organ, percussion, and piano. The recording features Rudy Zulkarnaen on bass and Topan Abimanyu on guitar. The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Miriam Nemcova, contributed orchestral elements, with arrangements by Ari Renaldi and score assistance from Alvin Witarsa. The basic tracks and vocals were recorded by Ari Renaldi and Rudy Zulkarnaen at ARU Studio in Bandung, while the orchestra was recorded by Vitek Kral at Smecky Studio in Prague, Czech Republic.
